After supplying millions of plant-based, meat-free burgers, nuggets, meatballs and more to restaurants and grocery stores in the United States, Impossible Foods is branching out with a restaurant of its own.
The new initiative, called the Impossible Food Shop, will offer menu items developed by Impossible Foods’ head of culinary operations, chef J. Michael Melton, and prepared in the kitchens of Dog Haus restaurants, which were among the first in the nation to put the plant-based products on their permanent menu in 2018.
Nearly 40 Dog Haus restaurants — the Fremont, Oakland and San Francisco locations, plus 16 locations in Southern California — are becoming Impossible Food Shops starting this week.

The inaugural menu will showcase six Impossible recipes, and customers in the future will get the opportunity to try new Impossible products:
Four Impossible Burger variations: The Shop Burger and the Double Down Shop Burger, with one or two Impossible Burger patties, lettuce, tomato, dills and Shop sauce; the Chili Cheese Shop Burger, which tops an Impossible Burger with Impossible Chili and cheese; and the Impossible Pat-B Melt, with an Impossible Burger, cola-caramelized onions and plant-based cheese sauce on grilled sourdough.
Impossible Chicken Nuggets: Sticky Sesame sauce tops Impossible Nuggets and fries.
Impossible Breakfast Sausage Burrito: Warm tortilla filled with Impossible Sausage, plant-based egg, tater tots, tomatoes, avocado, plant-based cheese sauce and chipotle crema.
French fries: These are also available topped with plant-free cheese sauce and/or Impossible Chili.

Impossible Shops’ meals are available for pickup or delivery via DoorDash, Postmates, Uber Eats, and Grubhub, but not dine-in, a spokesperson said.
As for pricing, the standard Shop Burger is $11.99 and if you upgrade all the way to The Chili Cheese Double Down, expect to pay a beefy $22.99.
According to the company, Impossible products are now available in more than 3,000 California restaurants and 2,000 grocery stores.
