Come April 7-8, Bir, the gorgeous paragliding destination, will host the much-awaited music festival – Musicathon. The two-day music festival in the hills brings together the love for music and the mountains in the most creative and melodious ways possible.

Bir is one of the most-visited destinations in the northern flank of India, a mecca for adventure travellers. This music festival, with the backdrop of the stunning Dhauladhar ranges, can’t be more perfect. The tickets to the festival are now available on their website. The Music Pass comes at INR 1999 per person, and Music Pass + Stay at INR 3499 per person.

Toronto Zoo will let you do something unique this Valentine’s Day

Whether it is a pesky ex, annoying boss or a nosy relative, there is someone in everyone’s life, whom they absolutely hate. Now, a zoo in Canada in offering people a chance to be petty and vent their feelings in an unusual way. With Valentine’s Day coming up, Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy has launched a new name-a-roach campaign which gives people a chance to name a cockroach in someone’s honour. 

For a minimum donation of $25 (Rs 1507), the zoo will allow you to name a cockroach after anyone who’s ”bugging” you. To name a cockroach, people can go online and select “Dedicate your donation,” select “In honour of,” and fill in the blank to provide a name of their choosing. Post that, they will receive a digital certificate with the roach’s name, a shareable digital graphic, and a charitable tax receipt.

Losar Festival in Sikkim is a cultural extravaganza you shouldn’t miss

Looking for a reason to visit Sikkim this month? Losar Festival, the Tibetan New Year, is a great way to experience the beauty of Sikkim’s culture, heritage and landscape. The popular religious festival will be celebrated for a week (February 21-27), marking the Tibetan New Year.

In Sikkim, the festival is also known as Gyalpo Lossar. Monasteries are the most important places to be at during the festival, and nothing beats the celebration at Pemayangtse Monastery. At the monastery, the festival starts off with chaam or the traditional dance performance by the lamas. The main celebration takes place in Rumtek Monastery and Phodong Monastery. Here prayers are offered, which is then followed by a cultural extravaganza. Cham dance (masked lama dance) and other folk dance and music are things you should not miss.
