Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival is back!
The annual Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2022 took a break in 2020 due to the pandemic and did a slow restart last year in 2021. But this year, the festival is planning to come back with a bang. This year it will be a four-day event, from November 23 to 26.
The festival usually takes place in Polo Ground, but smaller events spread to other parts of the city. The beautiful Ward’s Lake is one of the festival venues. Food, local wine, good music, and even greater vibe, these are the things you can expect from the festival. It’s a great time to get to know the local culture and interact with the local people. Festival goers will need to purchase tickets for each day, separately. The General or the GA tickets are for INR 899 per person; the VIP tickets are for INR 5000 per person.

Jammu is hosting the 10-day-long annual Jhiri Mela after a hiatus of two-year gap owing to the pandemic. Reportedly, this mela is held every year during Karthik Purnima to pay obeisance at Baba Jittoo temple in village Jhiri to seek blessings.
If reports are to go by, more than 10 lakh devotees from across the Jammu region and neighbouring states including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana are expected to take part in the fair to commemorate the sacrifice of the Baba. The devotees can also take a customary dip in the Baba-da-Talab, which is a natural pond situated around 4 km away from the temple, and is believed to have curative powers.

Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh have been earmarked as future places from where these space flights will get launched.
