Chitrakoot gets Uttar Pradesh’s first tabletop airport

Uttar Pradesh’s first tabletop airport is all set to be inaugurated in Chitrakoot soon. Constructed at the cost of INR 146 crore, it will become the first operational airport of Bundelkhand and will be managed by the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

A tabletop runway, it refers to a runway that is located on the top of a hill or a plateau, with both or one of its ends adjacent to a steep precipice that drops into a deep gorge. Referring to the Chitrakoot airport, the ropeway at Chitrakoot has been the centre of attraction for tourists visiting the place since September 2019, as people now get to visit Chitrakoot both by air and by road via the Bundelkhand Expressway.

The Golden Joint of Kashmir’s Chenab Bridge inaugurated

The golden joint of the world’s highest railway bridge over River Chenab was inaugurated on Saturday. The bridge will be 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower.

Chenab Bridge in Kashmir, which is also the world’s highest railway bridge, is one of the most-awaited development projects of India. On Saturday (13 August, 2022), the Golden Joint of the Chenab Bridge was inaugurated, which links two ends of the deck of the railway bridge.
A number of people from across the country were present during the unveiling ceremony which saw firecrackers and people celebrating the moment by singing the national anthem. The entire place was filled with slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai.
