Venezuela will offer hot air balloon flights from December onwards in an effort to boost tourism.

In order to guarantee safety flights, the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics was shaping all the regulations that would supervise the balloon-navigation, reports Xinhua news agency. Venezuela is home to the world’s highest waterfall, Angel Falls and the second longest river in South America, the Orinoco. It also has the longest coastline on the Caribbean Sea.

Assam’s Kaziranga National Park reopens for the season

It’s reopening time of year for all national parks in India that were closed for the summer and monsoon season. While most of the closed parks are slated to reopen in October, Kaziranga reopened its gates a bit early this year on September 24, 2022. This opening was a special one as three statues of rhinoceros were unveiled during the park’s opening ceremony. These three rhino statues are in the Mihimukh area of Kaziranga National Park.

At the opening of the park, Assam took one more step towards sustainability and being eco-conscious by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on the sustainable use of land and agricultural practices. The potential of ecotourism was also discussed.

Canada to remove all COVID-19 restrictions from October 1

Canada is set to remove all COVID-19 restrictions for international travellers from October 1, 2022, including masking requirements for trains and flights, and vaccination. Reports suggest that this move will likely provide a boost to the Canadian travel industry, which has already started to boom after months of dull business during the pandemic.

Reports further add that travellers, regardless of citizenship, will no longer have to submit health information through the ArriveCAN app or provide proof of vaccination from October 1, 2022. Also, the requirement for travellers to wear masks on trains and planes would be dropped.
