The World’s Most Remote Michelin-Starred Restaurant is Moving Even Farther Out

KOKS is the first Michelin-starred restaurant in the Faroe Islands, an 18-island archipelago that sits in the north Atlantic between Iceland and Scotland. It was awarded its first star in 2017, and added a second star two years later. It has been called the world’s most remote Michelin star dining experience — and, yes, that tracks — but it’s about to move about 1,300 miles further afield.

Earlier this month, KOKS announced that it would be relocating to the west coast of Greenland for the summer seasons of 2022 and 2023, where head chef Poul Andrias Ziska will take over the restaurant at Ilimanaq Lodge in the 53-person village of Ilimanaq. Overnight guests at the lodge will have the option of experiencing the 17- to 20-course KOKS tasting menu during their stay; other visitors can try to score one of the remaining reservations for the restaurant, which will seat only 30 people each night.

This Is the Most-Googled Vegan Fast Food

Researchers from Meal Delivery Experts in North America decided to look at what specific national chains customers were mentioning when searching for vegan offerings. In their analysis, Taco Bell was the clear winner with 16,600 average monthly searches. On second spot was McDonald’s which was Googled for its plant-based options on average 8,650 times per month. Panera was in the third place for searches for the restaurant’s name and vegan terms, followed by Starbucks

Taco Bell has done more to cater to vegetarian and vegan clientele than many of its competitors, even offering a guide for vegan options on the company’s website. Ordering kiosks at some Taco Bell locations offer a “Veggie Mode” button, switching to show only vegetarian items and provide information about vegan modifications.

McDonald’s Is Testing a Chicken Big Mac

Chicken lovers, McDonald’s has some big news.

The fast food chain has confirmed to PEOPLE that starting in late August, they’ll be swapping burgers for chicken patties in the Chicken Big Mac at select Miami restaurants. Each sandwich combines two crispy chicken patties, a slice of cheese, shredded lettuce, pickles and the iconic Big Mac sauce.

Earlier this year, U.K. customers got the first taste of the double-decker sandwich. Praise piled up across the pond for the limited-edition menu item, prompting the upcoming availability in Florida.
