When autumn arrives in New England, the landscape seems to change almost overnight. Maple forests glow crimson and gold, white-steepled villages sit beneath flame-coloured hills, and winding roads lead from Boston’s historic streets to Vermont farms, New Hampshire’s mountains and Maine’s rugged Atlantic coast. Over nine days, this journey follows some of the region’s most scenic routes—including the legendary Kancamagus Highway—while making time for farmhouse lunches, forest walks, lobster dinners and the postcard-perfect coastal towns that define fall in America’s northeast.
Day 1 | Arrive in Historic Boston
Begin in Boston, a compact city where Revolutionary-era landmarks stand alongside lively neighbourhoods and a handsome waterfront.
Spend the afternoon exploring at leisure, perhaps walking through Beacon Hill, browsing the shops around Newbury Street or following the harbour promenade. In the evening, meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers over a welcome dinner.

Elsewhere, pink-granite cliffs rise above the sea while maple forests burn red, orange and yellow against the crisp autumn sky.
Return to Bar Harbor for time at leisure. You may also choose an optional nature cruise across Frenchman Bay, sailing past islands, lighthouses, historic summer estates and the glacier-shaped coastline of Mount Desert Island.
