A Santa Monica wellness escape is more than a retreat—it’s a complete reset for body and mind. Over two restorative days, discover energising movement, mindful recovery, nourishing cuisine and the healing pull of the Pacific outdoors. Consider this your itinerary for returning refreshed, rebalanced and renewed.

Day 1

Start the day early listening to crashing waves and spotting dolphins in the distance as you flow through yoga positions during one of Beach Yoga SoCal’s waterfront classes.

After a workout, it is time to nourish the body. Dogtown Coffee is a Santa Monica original offering a variety of health-conscious choices including vegan, organic and gluten-free.

Santa Monica’s coastal routes are best experienced on a bike. Rent a bike from Unlimited Biking and explore the beautiful 22-mile Marvin Braude Bike Path, with amazing Pacific Ocean views.

As the day progresses, the waters become a playground for different activities. Find your options along Santa Monica Beach with a variety of classes and experiences to test your fitness levels in the ocean with surf lessons from Aqua Surf School or paddle boarding with Poseidon Paddle & Surf.

Ultimately, unwind, relieve stress, and tension during a signature treatment at ONE Spa located in the luxurious Shutters on the Beach or hop next door to experience Sea Wellness Spa at Hotel Casa del Mar for the ultimate relaxation of the mind and body.

Alternatively, the Calming Spot hosts evening meditation sound bath sessions right on Santa Monica Beach.

End the day at Sugarfish, where celebrated sushi chef Kazunori Nozawa presents 3 core menus in a simplified, pared-down style, similar to the Japanese omakase tradition. Or stop by Fitoor, a contemporary Indian restaurant and lounge offering food, cocktails, music and decor that evoke the vibrancy and energy of modern India in the heart of Santana Row. Fitoor’s menu showcases dishes from India’s many varied coastal regions, using local and seasonal California ingredients.

Day 2

Continue your wellness journey the following day with Wellness & Waves and the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. Move, stretch, and recharge by the ocean as Wellness & Waves returns for its 2026 season every Saturday from April 4 through October 17, 2026, from 8 to 10 a.m. This free, all-ages wellness series transforms the iconic Santa Monica Pier into an open-air fitness destination at the most iconic outdoor setting in Southern California.

Following the session, indulge in the flavours of Santa Monica’s local produce and ingredients at the Downtown Santa Monica farmers market, featuring dozens of farmers and healthy food options spread out over four blocks.

Santa Monica’s abundance of green spaces is yet another testament to the importance of nature in creating a healthy, balanced, and restorative lifestyle. Discover Tongva Park, which encompasses seven ocean-view acres in the heart of Santa Monica and boasts rolling hills and verdant lawns, picnic tables, winding walkways and soaring observation decks that offer beautiful views of the ocean, Pier and Los Angeles coastline.

More fitness goals follow with group fitness classes like Pilates, spinning, boxing and barre, across Santa Monica’s 30-plus fitness studios and exercise gyms, including True Pilates Santa Monica, Churchill Boxing Club, Good Body Pilates and female-owned Burn Fitness.

Healthy eating is an important part of the Santa Monica lifestyle. For a healthy bite, stop into Kreation Kafe & Juicery, a longtime standby on Santa Monica’s Montana Avenue, that serves easy, clean fare such as omelettes, wraps and salads, along with juices and coffee.

End this incredible journey of finding yourself through wellness with a golden sunset by the mighty Pacific Ocean.
