32 Airports, Which Were Temporarily Closed Reopen For Operations. Check the list.

India on Monday reopened 32 airports that had been closed following a directive from the Centre to suspend civil aviation operations along the northern and western borders until May 15, amid a four-day conflict with Pakistan. These airports, located across northern and north-western regions of the country, were shut due to airspace restrictions imposed in the wake of rising tensions. India’s aviation regulator confirmed their reopening for civil aircraft operations.

According to the Airports Authority of India (AAI), airports such as Srinagar, Chandigarh, and Amritsar are now fully operational. “Attention Flyers: reference notice issued for temporary closure of 32 airports for civil aircraft operations till 05:29 hrs of 15 May 2025. It is informed that these airports are now available for civil aircraft operations with immediate effect,” said an official AAI statement issued this morning.

Passengers have been advised to check flight status directly with airlines and stay updated through official airline websites and notifications, as schedules may still be readjusting.
