Egypt to offer 5-year multiple entry visa to boost tourism

Egypt has announced that it will be offering a multiple entry visa for the first time and adding more nationalities to its visa-on-arrival eligibility. As per the latest reports, a five-year multiple-entry visa will be offered for $700, while a single-entry 30-day visa on arrival will be available for $25, which can now be obtained by more than 180 nationalities.

Among the handful of nations that have been included in the list, China and India also find a place. Reports add that the country attracted 11.7 million tourists last year, which is expected to boost that number by 25 to 30% annually, and might likely go up to 30 million by 2028. Reportedly, tourist numbers increased by more than 30% in January and February 2023, as compared to the first two months of last year.

Kedarnath Yatra: You will soon be able to book helicopter services on IRCTC website

As per the latest news reports, the IRCTC will soon start the process of booking helicopter services to Kedarnath temple online, which as reported earlier, is all set to open April 25. This means pilgrims will be able to book their tickets for the same from the IRCTC website.

If reports are to go by, a trial run of the helicopter services will be completed by March 31, whereas the online booking system will likely start from April 1. This development comes after IRCTC signed partnership with Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) for a period of 5 years for providing helicopter ticket booking service to the pilgrims of Kedarnath Dham.

Bengaluru all set to get a second Cubbon Park

Bengaluru is all set to get a second Cubbon Park near Yelahanka on 184 acres of land spread across the villages of Sondappanahalli, Bettahalasur, and Kadiganahalli near Yelahanka. The park will also feature an amphitheatre, a lake, and other facilities.

Reportedly, the park will be named after Bengaluru founder Kempe Gowda.The land is situated around 10 km from the Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) and close to Kempegowda birthplace Avati and Yelahanka, which he ruled. If reports are to go by, Bengaluru is also developing a multi-purpose Atal Bihari Vajpayee Park on 320 acres at Jarakabande in Yelahanka, for which ₹100 crore has been earmarked.
