Gujarat plans to turn Mokarsagar wetland into eco-tourism destination

The coastal city of Porbandar in Gujarat is in the process of turning the Gosabara-Mokarsagar wetland into a sustainable eco-tourism destination. The wetland is one of the most thriving sites in Porbandar in terms of nature and wildlife.

As per reports, Gujarat plans to develop the Gosabara-Mokarsagar wetland complex in order to draw more tourists to the city, especially wildlife and nature enthusiasts. The Gosabara-Mokarsagar wetland is spread over an area of approximately 90 sq km, and is home to over 186 species of birds. The project aims at developing an interpretation zone, guesthouses, eateries, parking lots, watchtowers and nature trails around the wetland.
