The world is getting ready to celebrate the festival of colours and Washington, DC will not be falling behind.

Get ready to experience the vibrant spirit of Holi as the Indian Embassy hosts an exciting celebration featuring traditional dance performances, a live DJ, and the joyful tradition of color throwing! Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 16, 2024, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., when Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C., transforms into a hub of festive energy.

The event begins in Dupont Circle Park with electrifying music by DJ Neil, setting the stage for mesmerizing cultural performances from Studio Dhoom and a renowned Kathak artist. Then, at 2:00 p.m., the celebration continues at The Ven Hotel, where guests can enjoy high-energy dancing and participate in the hallmark Holi color-throwing experience.

“This festival has become a much-anticipated event in Dupont Circle, and we’re thrilled to partner with The Ven Hotel to make it even bigger this year,” said Patrick Kain, Chair of the Dupont Circle BID. “With over 40 embassies in our neighborhood, we’re delighted to highlight the rich culture of India.”

More Holi Celebrations Across the City

Beyond Dupont Circle, Holi festivities will light up other parts of Washington, D.C. One of the city’s most anticipated events is returning to Union Market for its third year, hosted in collaboration with popular Indian restaurants RASA and DC Dosa. This lively evening celebration will feature delicious Indian cuisine, festive cocktails, energetic music, and, of course, the iconic color throwing.
