It’s a proud moment for India as Hyderabad has bagged the prestigious ‘World Green City Award 2022’. The south Indian beauty has won the award by beating famous international cities Paris, Bogota, Mexico City, Montreal and Fortaleza in Brazil.

The city has won in the category Living Green for Economic Recovery and Inclusive Growth at the International Association of Horticulture Producers (AIPH) 2022 World Green Cities Awards which was organised in Jeju, South Korea on Friday, October 14.

Tourists will soon be able to visit snow-bound areas in Jammu and Kashmir via helicopters

Jammu and Kashmir Tourism has been making all efforts to take winter tourism beyond the famous skiing destination of Gulmarg in North Kashmir to other places. As per the reports, they have been focusing more on promoting tourism in the snow-bound areas that remain inaccessible due to roads getting blocked.

Reports have it that a proposal has been made to make helicopter service available to the snow-bound areas, which can turn into hot spots of winter tourism. Places like Gurez and Karnah in Bandipora and Kupwara districts respectively which are near the Line of Control (LoC) have been luring tourists from far and near. And reportedly, from this year, the tourism board has decided to start special helicopter services to these areas for tourists.

Soon, Maharashtra’s Kaas plateau will be an all-season tourist destination

A very popular tourist destination, Kaas plateau is mostly visited in the months of September and October when the entire plateau gets covered with wildflowers. The flowering season in the Kaas plateau is the only time when tourists flock to this destination. Rest of the year, it is left alone. But very soon, this will change.

Located in the Satara district in Maharashtra, Kaas plateau is every nature photographer’s delight and enjoys pleasant weather throughout the year. Keeping this in mind, the district administration of Satara has come up with plans to promote Kaas plateau as an all-season tourist destination. For this, authorities will set up locations for photoshoots and selfie points for tourists so that they can visit Kaas anytime and enjoy the best of the plateau’s scenic beauty.
