Following the Air India AI171 crash, all Delhi-Ahmedabad flights from Terminal 1 were initially cancelled due to the temporary closure of Ahmedabad Airport and heightened security protocols. However, the airport has since resumed operations.

In a tragic development, Air India Flight AI171, which had departed from Ahmedabad for London, crashed shortly after takeoff. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner went down near the Meghaninagar locality, carrying 242 people on board.

As part of the immediate safety response, Ahmedabad Airport suspended all flight operations, prompting a series of cancellations on connected routes. This included the cancellation of all flights from Delhi’s Terminal 1 to Ahmedabad by several major airlines, amid tightened security protocols and operational uncertainty.

Authorities have since confirmed that Ahmedabad Airport is once again functional, and services are gradually resuming.

Cancelled Flights Reported So Far:

  • Akasa Air: 2 flights
  • IndiGo: 3 flights
  • Japan Airlines (JAL): 1 flight
  • Qantas Airways: 1 flight
