As per the latest reports, Karnataka Tourism Department will bring to you caravan facilities that will be available for eco-tours, adventure, wildlife sanctuaries, and pilgrimages. These arrangements will not only facilitate your travel, but will also make your travel comfortable and luxurious.

For now, a private company has designed two types of caravans. One is the bus type caravan that will come equipped with 2 beds, a kitchen, toilet facilities, 1 table, 4 chairs, and more. This caravan is tailor-made for a family of five. Then, there is the smaller motor car type, which will have a kitchen, a small bedroom and a toilet, in which 3 people can travel without any hassle. This caravan is suitable for small family. This is also a well-equipped and organised car-type vehicle which will be convenient for those who feel tired while travelling, do not get home cooked food, or miss a good sleep during travel, and is tailor-made for senior citizens too.

Akasa Air to allow pets in cabin

Attention pet lovers! If you are a dog or cat parent, you can soon fly them with India’s youngest airline, Akasa Air. From November 1 onwards, you can fly your pets. Budget carrier Akasa Air will allow pets in the cabin and cargo hold, and a total of 7 kg weight will be allowed. Here’s what you need to know about how to get your pets on the flight:

  • Each pet would have to have their own cages or pet carriers.
  • For cabin: Weight limit, including the cage or carrier should be 7 kg.
  • For check-in: Weight limit, including the cage or carrier should be 32 kg.
  • For heavier pets (32-100 kg) check in to be done at the cargo terminal.

As of now, only Air India allows pets in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and the carrier is less than 5 kg. Other airlines like AirAsia, Vistara, SpiceJet and IndiGo don’t allow pets on their flights though exceptions are made for service animals for differently-abled individuals.
